Baccarat

The Aim

The goal of the game is to bet on the hand that you believe will receive the higher total (Banker’s Hand or Player’s Hand) the hand closest to 9 wins.

You also have optional side bet wagers that allows you to predict (1) that the game will end in a tie, (2) if the Banker wins with a total of six and or (3) if either side will get a pair as their first two cards drawn.

The names ‘Banker’ and ‘Player’ are not indicative of either the players or the house but only represent areas in which the patron can bet.

The Table

Baccarat Table Layout

Definitions

Player – The Player side represents one side of the main betting areas and is always paid 1-1 when it wins. Player is represented in blue on all electronic scoreboards.

Banker – The Banker represents the other main betting area on the table and is also paid at 1-1 odds when it wins, however on the Main Gaming Floor when the Bank wins on a total of 6 it is paid at 1-2.

Tie – Tie or égalité is defined by both sides having the same point total at the end of a game and pays all winning tie wagers 8-1. Tie is represented in green on the electronic scoreboards on each baccarat table.

Any Pair – Banker Pair or Player Pair are two separate wagers where the player predicts if any given sides first two starting cards will be the same value. E.g. 8♥ 8♦. Any pair results win 11-1.

Super Six – Super Six pays out when the bank wins on a total of 6 and loses on any other total. Super Six is the biggest paying side-bet and gives players the opportunity to negate only winning 50% when bank wins on 6. It is paid 15-1

Commission Game – A 5% deduction from any winning wager on Banker’s hand. A limit sign will indicate whether the table is operating on a commission game.

Non-Commission Game – Means that when Banker wins on 6, the dealer will pay 1-2 to and winning banker wager.

Betting Area – Designated wagering areas for specific betting types i.e. Banker’s Hand/Player’s Hand.

Tableaux – Structured rules to which determines whether additional cards are drawn after the four initial cards are dealt: one for the player, one for the banker, then a second for the player and a second for the banker.

Stood Pat – Not required to draw the third card

Let’s Play

  1. Place your bet on the ‘Banker’, ‘Player’ and or any of the side bets offered.
  2. The dealer will pass out the cards to the ‘player’ side first to the person with the largest wager.
  3. The player will then return the cards, the dealer will announce the total then pass out the ‘Bankers’ cards.
  4. The player will then return the ‘Bankers’ cards and the dealer will announce the bankers total.
  5. The “Player” and “Banker” side are drawn using pre-determined drawing rules known as the tableau.
  6. After a winner is determined all winning wagers will be paid and all losing bets collected.

Odds

Player’s Rule: If the player has an initial total of 0–5, they draw a third card. If the player has an initial total of 6 or 7, they stand.

Banker’s Rule: If the player stood pat, the banker regards only their own hand and acts according to the same rule as the player, that is the banker draws a third card with hands 0–5 and stands with 6 or 7. If the player drew a third card, the banker acts according to the following more complex rules:

  • If the banker total is 2 or less, then the banker draws a card, regardless of what the player’s third card is.
  • If the banker total is 3, then the banker draws a third card unless the player’s third card was an 8.
  • If the banker total is 4, then the banker draws a third card if the player’s third card was 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
  • If the banker total is 5, then the banker draws a third card if the player’s third card was 4, 5, 6, or 7.
  • If the banker total is 6, then the banker draws a third card if the player’s third card was a 6 or 7.
  • If the banker total is 7, then the banker stands

Definitions

Push/Standoff – A tie

Hit – Take additional cards

Stand – Stay with the card total you have accrued

Bust – A total over 21 that results in the loss of the hand

Blackjack – an Ace and any 10-count value card dealt as the initial two cards

Numbered Cards – Face value e.g. 2 ♥ = 2

King, Queen, Jack – All picture cards hold a value of 10

Ace – 1 or 11 – Keeps the higher value until it would otherwise bust the hand

Double – Double your wager and take a single card

Split – Double your wager to separate your initial hand into two (they must be two cards of the same value)

Insurance Where the dealers’ first card Is an Ace, a player may place a wager up to half their original bet, placed on the insurance line.

a) If the dealer draws a 10-count card in the Ace, the insurance bet wins 2-1

b) If the dealer does not draw a 10-count value card on the Ace, the insurance bet loses.

Let’s Play

  1. Place your bet
  2. The dealer deals you two cards face up, and takes one card, also face up. If your two cards total 21, it’s known as blackjack. Wait to see what the dealer gets for his second card to find out if you won or whether it’s a push.
  3. If you didn’t get blackjack, you either hit or stand to create a hand you think will beat the dealers. If your cards total more than 21, that’s a bust.
  4. After all players have acted, the croupier will take cards until they reach a point total between seventeen and twenty-one or bust.
  5. Compare your cards to the dealer’s:
If the dealer’s hand exceeds 21, all players with 21 or less win.
If your hand is higher than the dealers, without exceeding 21, you win.
If you have the same total as the dealer, it’s a push—even if you got blackjack

Blackjack Side Bets

How to Play – Buster, Free Bet and Perfect Pairs

The aim of side hustles on a blackjack game is to increase your odds of a payout! With three easy options to choose from, you have to be in it to win it!

  • Buster Blackjack is a regular blackjack game with an optional side bet that enables you to win with better odds whenever the dealer goes bust. The more cards the dealer pulls before they bust, the higher the payout!
  • Free Bet Blackjack is a card game in which the player tries to beat the dealer. The special feature of Free Bet Blackjack is that the player can split and double down certain hands without having to place an additional bet.

Definitions

Push – A tie

Hit – Take additional cards

Stand – Stay with what you’ve got

Bust – A loss

Doubling – To double your original bet and commit to standing after taking one more card

Splitting – If your first two cards are of equal value, you can split them into two separate hands. You must place an additional bet, equal to your original wager, for your second hand. If you split aces, you get only one more card for each ace.

Free Double – The player can double on 9, 10 or 11 for free. Any other total can be doubled with the players’ own money.

Free Split – The player can split any two cards of the same value for free except for tens which must be split with the players’ own money.

A Perfect Pair – This is an identical pair. For example, you may have two Queen of Hearts – Q♥ Q♥

Coloured Pair – A pair that is made up of two cards that have different suits, but both cards are the same colour. For example, 8♥ 8♦

Mixed Pair – A pair that is made up of one red suited card and one black suited card. For example, 3♣ 3♦

Let’s Play – Buster

If you want to participate in the “Buster” side bet, place a wager in the appropriate box. In the event you have a Blackjack and a wager of at least $5, you get access to the free bonus along with the odds paid for the dealer busting.

Let’s Play – Free Bet

Doubling on Free Bet Blackjack: The player can double on 9, 10 or 11 for free. Any other total can be doubled with the players’ own money. Splitting on Free Bet Blackjack: The player can split any two cards of the same value for free except for tens which must be split with the player’s own money. Dealer pushes on 22 instead of busting.

Black Jack Free Bet Table Layout

Let’s Play – Perfect Pairs

A Perfect Pairs bet wins if the first two cards dealt to a player’s blackjack hand are a pair and it loses if they are not a pair. Perfect Pairs bets are made prior to any cards being dealt and must be supported by a regular Blackjack bet on the same betting box. There are three different types of pairs: a “Mixed Pair”, a “Coloured Pair” and a “Perfect Pair” and the pay-out odds vary accordingly.

Roulette

How To Play Roulette

Roulette

The Aim | Single Zero & Double Zero American Roulette

The aim of Roulette is to correctly guess which of the numbered compartments the ball will land in by placing bets on sections of the table that contain that number.

The Table

Roulette Single Zero Table Layout

Roulette Double Zero Table Layout

Let’s Play

  1. When you buy-in to Roulette, the Dealer will give you uniquely coloured chips, which can only be used on that table and help to keep track of which bets are yours. When you’ve finished playing, simply trade in your colour chips for cash chips, which can be used elsewhere in the casino.
  2. Before spinning the wheel, the Dealer will invite players to ‘place your bets’.
  3. The Dealer will then spin the Roulette wheel and rapidly roll a ball into the wheel’s outer track.
  4. Players may position any number of chips (Within a tables minimum and maximum) wherever they choose on the table before the Dealer calls “no more bets”
  5. When the ball comes to a rest, the Dealer will announce the winning number and place a marker on the corresponding location on the table.
  6. Any bets placed that include this number will be paid out at the odds listed and losing chips will be removed.

Place your chips carefully as positioning can alter the intention and type of your bet.

Order of Betting

The Roulette table has many options for betting and players may make as many different bets as they choose during a round.

The simplest bets are even money bets, which cover 18 numbers. These include Red or Black, Odds or Evens, and Low (1 to 18) or High (19 to 36). Even money bets double your wager when they win and are a great introduction to playing Roulette. Remember, even money bets come in pairs: when one wins, the other loses.

Note: all wagers lose on zero except for Straight Up bets placed on zero, or those placed in a combination with the numbers that includes zero.

You can make any number of different bets each round to increase your chances of winning, and several bets can win at the same time! (e.g. three separate bets placed on BLACK, EVEN and 3rd 12 will all win if the ball lands on 28). Just remember you’ll also lose any chips that don’t win.

The Aim

The objective of each Texas Hold’em hand is to win the pot, which can be done in two ways. You can force all your opponents to fold based on your betting activity, or you can have the best possible five card hand at showdown. You can make your hand using any combination of the two-hole cards you are dealt and the five community cards that are dealt for all players to use.

Let’s Play

  1. The game is played in rounds with each player first receiving two cards face down.

  3. Once the betting round is concluded, the Dealer will turn three cards face up in the center of the table. This is called ‘the flop’.
  4. Players may now make additional bets based on how strong their hand is when including the three center cards.
  5. Rounds continue with a fourth and fifth card being placed face up in the center and bets being made accordingly.
  6. After the fifth card is turned face up players may either fold and forfeit their bets or reveal their hands and choose any of the seven total cards (their initial two plus the five community cards) to make their five-card hand.
  7. The player with the strongest hand wins the entire combined wagers of all players from that round, known as the pot.

Order of Betting

Prior to the start of the game: The first two players after the dealer button must place a small and big blind.
